Successful with LogoMate: Transgourmet reduces inventories by 15 percent

Searching for digital support: Prior to working with Remira, Transgourmet, a food wholesaler, had no software for inventory management. The employees in the planning departement estimate at which time and how many of the 25,000 different items had to be ordered. The consequences: shortages, a significant rate of breakage and spoilage in the stored food. “We would like to have a software that permanently optimizes our stocks and generates order proposals,” explains Christine Keszner, Head of Procurement Logistics at Transgourmet.

With LogoMate, the wish has come true. Today, the warehouse automatically fills up with the ideal quantity of goods. For this purpose, the solution generates planned orders and takes into account influences such as seasonal fluctuations or one-off large orders. After the introduction of the software, the successes was coming fast: after only one year, stocks had been reduced by 15 percent and the availability of goods had increased by 13 percent. The breakage and spoilage of food has been reduced by half. The close and partner-like cooperation between Transgourmet and Remira also ensures a continuous optimization of workflows. This is achieved, among other things, because the solution is constantly being adapted to new requirements. Finally, the LM promo+ module was extended to improve the calculation of promotion quantities.
