How does a modern user interface (UI) for digital inventory management has to be designed so that it has a high usability and efficiently supports work processes? The answer to this question will be given at LogiMAT 2019, in Hall 8, Booth C27, and at EuroCIS 2019 in Hall 9 Stand E21. Here, a part of the revised, web-based user interface is presented exclusively. Among other things, the new core functions ensure a more structured work, so that objectives are achieved even faster. The UI can be adapted to different users and task areas.
An intuitive design, more functions, better clarity – all with the familiar performance of LogoMate: The redesigned web interface offers users an even more comfortable and efficient working environment. We have put many processes in LogoMate to the test to take the user experience and usability of the software to a whole new level. “While many processes are based on IT solutions in inventory management, scheduling or purchasing, people with their cognitive abilities are an indispensable part of the supply chain,” says Managing Director Oliver Jenneskens. We have therefore attached great importance to ensuring that the interface as an interface between the user and the IT system meets the needs of the respective user and ensures a positive operating experience. It can be configured according to the task area or level of knowledge of the employee. The development of the UI also incorporates concrete customer suggestions and industry-specific market requirements. For this purpose, our UI Design Department has been strengthened.
Optimized for mobile use
At both trade fairs, we present the core functions: clearer user management, a revised ABC analysis and more precise display options for key figures. What is also new is a targeted user guidance through the ordering process: results are achieved faster, the supply of goods and thus the company’s success is ensured. As a result, users benefit from a significant time gain – resources that can then be used elsewhere. The new interface allows the use of LogoMate, regardless of location or device, because the software runs through a browser and is responsive. As a future-proof solution, it is also available as Software as a Service or On Premises. First, both the new and the previous interface are available in parallel in LogoMate. Proven functions of the previously used interface can also be found in the updated user interface. Its successive introduction is planned in the medium term in the LogoMate versions smart, silver and gold.
